TDC Entertainment's Disinformation label announces the July 30, 2013 release of Robert Greenwald's scorching new documentary.

WAR ON WHISTLEBLOWERS
Free Press and the National Security State

From acclaimed documentarian Robert Greenwald (Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price) comes War on Whistleblowers: Free Press and the National Security State.

"Groundbreaking" - AlterNet

"...sleekly crafted... packages its dire warnings about the ways truth-speakers are penalized in a way that is accessible without sacrificing nuance or intelligence." - Village Voice

Four renowned cases of whistle-blowing serve as the backdrop to the much larger story of what happens to people who resort to the media to expose fraud and abuse.  This explosive film uncovers the perils to the careers and livelihoods of whistleblowers, both governmental and corporate, and the threats facing journalists who publicly try to right a wrong.

“Introduces viewers to the surprisingly profound dilemma that would-be whistleblowers face, and the hard path that follows once the decision is made. The men and women who have exposed fraud, waste, and abuse by government and industry don’t begin their journeys as implacable moral paragons or as known nemeses of the military-industrial complex. Rather, they are regular people who are suddenly faced with impossible decisions. The “right thing” is invariably a direct line to unemployment, industry blacklisting, financial ruin, and increasingly, criminal prosecution under the Espionage Act.” – The Week

Includes interviews with whistleblowers Michael DeKort, Thomas Drake, Franz Gayl and Thomas Tamm.

Features journalists David Carr (NY Times), Glenn Greenwald (The Guardian), Michael Isikoff (NBC News), Bill Keller (NY Times), Eric Lipton (NY Times), Jane Mayer (The New Yorker), Dana Preist (Washington Post), Tom Vanden Brook (USA TODAY) and many more…

"…introduces viewers to the surprisingly profound dilemma that would-be whistleblowers face" - The Week

With President Obama’s commitment to transparency and the passage of the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act, there was hope that whistleblowers would finally have more protection. In reality, times have never been worse.

Malloy Vetoes First Bill Of 2013; Would Have Required Regulations And Safety/Certification Standards For Spray Foam Insulation

Malloy Vetoes First Bill Of 2013; Would Have Required Regulations And Safety/Certification Standards For Spray Foam Insulation

Connecticut governor Dan Malloy’s veto of HB 5908, which would have required the state to establish standards for the spray polyurethane foam insulation industry, is an overt act of cowardice, masked by his concern for public health. By vetoing HB 5908 Governor Malloy opted for "voluntary" regulation of the SPF chemical industry, in other words, no regulation.  Voluntary regulation resulted in severe and permanent injury to more than two dozen children at the school where I was teaching.

I was seriously and permanently injured by Spray Foam Insulation when a non-trained applicator spray these chemicals on the school where I had been teaching. I was an award winning athlete and teacher until spray foam chemicals left me and more than two dozen children and teachers fighting to breathe and in a life and death struggle.

Spray foam insulation (SPF)was proven to have caused my severe asthma, resulted in surgical removal of almost all my sinus tissue, scarred my lungs, burned my eyes, causing early onset cataracts, and permanently damaged my brain and peripheral nerves. The Spray Foam industry never disputed my injuries.

Had the governor of Mississippi passed a similar bill, I and the children at my school would not have been injured by Spray Foam insulation. The next injury from SPF in Ct will leave the fingerprints of Governor Dan Malloy. http://www.toxicjustice.com

Children are harmed everyday because adults remain silent about health issues. Please visit Children's Environmental Protection Alliance (Children's EPA)  http://www.childrensepa.org

Please comment on the article linked below if you are angered by Governor Dan Malloy's veto and refusal to protect consumers and child health from untrained, greedy, and negligent SPF applicators.  Commenting is easy and has been demonstrated to affect government policy.  Please share this post.

Gov. Dan. Malloy vetoed his first bill of 2013 on Monday, saying rather than have the state develop regulations and safety standards for spray foam insulation in homes, he would encourage installers to “obtain training, credentialing or certification under programs … developed on a national basis.”
House Bill 5908, “An Act Concerning Safety and Certification Standards for the Spray Foam Insulation Industry,” sailed through both the House and Senate without any “no” votes or controversy; the House voted 145-0 on April 24, and the Senate 34-0 on May 30. . .Read more: http://courantblogs.com/capitol-watch/malloy-vetoes-first-bill-of-2013-would-have-required-regulations-and-safetycertification-standards-for-spray-foam-insulation/#comment-129615

SPF Spray Polyurethane Foam roofing, insulation injuring school children and homeowners

Spray on Foam (SPF) roofing, Spray on Foam Insulation, and Spray on Foam sealant have been heavily marketed to school boards around the world for the last 30 years as a "green solution."   A bill has been introduced in Connecticut to regulate the use of Spray on Foam products.  If you live in Connecticut, call your lawmaker to support this bill.

Spray on Foam products may help to reduce energy consumption BUT SPF increases a children's exposure to deadly, asthma causing, and cancer-causing chemicals.
Spray on Foam is a dangerous product which if properly or improperly applied, cured, and maintained can seriously injury or kill you or your child.
The terms "Green" and "Green solution" are not regulated by USA and most other countries, and therefore have no useful meaning to school boards or to the consumer.  "Green" and "Green solution" are product and advertiser hype words only.
Sale and use of this product needs to be tightly regulated throughout the USA and other countries.

Spray on Foam products seriously and permanently injured me and more than two dozen children at the school where I had been teaching.
Toxic Justice - Nancy Swan
This tragedy is happening in every city and thousands of schools across the USA.

Zach Scruggs loses appeals before US Supreme Court

JACKSON -- The U.S. Supreme Court has denied an appeal from Zach Scruggs, who was implicated as having knowledge of a judicial corruption scheme that toppled his father, plaintiffs' lawyer Richard "Dickie" Scruggs.
The court without comment Tuesday declined Scruggs' request to hear his appeal.
The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans upheld Zach Scruggs' conviction in October.

Toxic Justice comment posted:
Unlike Zach Scruggs, Paul Minor was never disbarred after he was convicted in federal court of bribing Judge John Whitfield and Judge Wes Teel.

Minor was my attorney for fifteen years and explained to me in Judge John Whitfield's courtroom how my judge had been bribed.   Minor then bribed Judge Whitfield to dismiss my case when he discovered I had secretly audio taped him and had turned the taped evidence over to the FBI.

So- why is Paul Minor allowed to practice law in Louisiana and Mississippi and Zach Scruggs is not?
See recent Sun Herald news story about Paul Minor's release from prison. Lawyers who bribe judges and commit fraud should stay in jail, not earn millions while in prison. How much as Zach Scruggs earned while in prison? These criminals know where all the bodies are buried. Until all the "bodies" are found and exposed, not one of these criminals should be free.
